Mrs. Kamphouse’s Class      Week of:  December 12, 2016          

December 12: Watchdog Dad dinner from 6-7 p.m.
December 19: Delayed Start (10:00 a.m.)
December 20: Christmas sweater day &
1st and 2nd grade Christmas Concert (arrive at 6:45 pm.)
December 21: Class Christmas Party & ½ Day: Dismissal at 11:55
                     
SPELLING: I was home yesterday with sick kids so all of the children will have
i-e spelling words this week!

TONIGHT: Tonight is the Watchdog Dad dinner from 6-7 pm if you let the school know that you are attending (dad) with your child. J

DECEMBER CALENDARS: Please continue to initial the dates that your child is reading at night.  The December calendar does not have an initial spot, but PLEASE still initial! Thank you!

CHRISTMAS: There is a lot happening for Christmas next week!  Next Tuesday night is our Christmas program in the new auditorium.  PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD HERE BY 6:45!  This is also Christmas sweater day!  DO NOT WORRY IF YOUR CHILD DOESN’T HAVE ONE.NOT A BIG DEAL!  I DON’T EITHER!
Next Wednesday is a half day, and we will be having our classroom Christmas festivities that morning.  Please let me know if you are not able to send in a girl or a boy gift of no more than $5.00. I will figure out an alternative! You may send this in at any time.  Remember only a boy gift if you have a boy, and a girl gift if you have a girl.


STUDENT OF THE WEEK:  Our special student this week is Lucas Hall! Lucas likes to play outside with friends and go for walks with his family.  His favorite foods are pizza, ice cream, yogurt, and fruit!  Lucas will be on 7 on March 23rd.  His favorite movies are Toy Story and Ice Age, and his favorite book is If You Give a Cat a Cupcake.  Lucas wants to be a police officer when he grows up! J

GINGERBREAD ITEMS: Please have the Gingerbread House items (especially the graham crackers) here by tomorrow!  I will have to hot glue the graham crackers to the milk cartons before Friday.  Thank you!!

DECEMBER 6th: I will be at the ISD for a ELA curriculum review.  Mrs. Sterk will be here for me, and the children know her well! J

STUDENT OF THE WEEK:  Our special student this week is Kyle DeZeeuw!  Kyle likes to go hunting, play tractors, and work at his family’s farm.  He enjoys cooked carrots with brown sugar and butter, and cherry coffee cake.  Kyle turned 7 on September 26th!  His favorite movie is Over the Hedge, and his favorite books is Sharks.  One day Kyle would like to hunt in Iowa like his dad!  He would also like to drive a tractor alone. J

ARTÍCULOS DEL PAN DE JENGIBRE: ¡Tenga por favor los artículos de la casa de pan de jengibre (especialmente las galletas de Graham) aquí por mañana! Tendré que pegar caliente las galletas de graham a los cartones de leche antes del viernes. ¡¡Gracias!!

6 DE DICIEMBRE: Estaré en el ISD para una revisión del currículo de ELA. ¡La señora Sterk estará aquí para mí, y los niños la conocen bien!

CALENDARIOS DE DICIEMBRE: Por favor continúe marcando las fechas que su hijo está leyendo por la noche. El calendario de diciembre no tiene un punto inicial, pero ¡POR FAVOR, sigue siendo inicial! ¡Gracias!

ESTUDIANTE DE LA SEMANA: Nuestro estudiante especial esta semana es Kyle DeZeeuw! A Kyle le gusta ir a cazar, jugar a tractores y trabajar en la granja de su familia. Le gusta zanahorias cocidas con azúcar moreno y mantequilla, y pastel de cereza. ¡Kyle cumplió 7 años el 26 de septiembre! Su película favorita es Over the Hedge, y sus libros favoritos son los tiburones. Un día Kyle le gustaría cazar en Iowa como su papá! También le gustaría conducir un tractor solo.
