Mrs. Kamphouse’s Class Week of:  February 20, 2017

February 23: ½ Day of School.  Dismissal @ 11:55
Parent/Teacher Conferences (for those that received a note)

SPELLING: Our spelling test will not be until next MONDAY!

MATH:  Your child’s mid-year math assessment will be in their mail today.  Unless you are coming for P/T conferences; I will keep them until conferences if you are.

ASSESSMENTS:  We are officially done with all of the mid-year assessing!  It was a lot, and the kids did great!  You will also see some of their results coming home in their mail this week.  You will see their DIBELS, AIMSWeb, and NWEA results.  We primarily focus on the NWEA results because these are not timed tests.  However, the DIBELS and AIMSWeb tests are one minute timed tests and can be nice “screener” to give us any heads up on certain areas where the children may need some extra supports.  DIBELS is a one-minute reading screener, and AIMSWeb is a one-minute MATH screener.

STUDENT OF THE WEEK:  Our special student this week is Laelyn Sluiter!  Laelyn has 2 dogs, and 2 cats.  She enjoys riding her bike.  Her favorite food is broccoli! She likes princesses, and the movie Frozen.  Her goals are to become a vet one day, and to learn more about Math.  Laelyn will be 7 on April 24th.
