Dear Families,

We have a secret celebration planned for your child.  With your help, we would like to plan a special surprise on Friday, May 20th .  This is a secret.  Please do not tell your child about it!

We would like you to tell all of your friends and relatives that we are planning a special “Surprise Day” in our classroom.  Please ask them to send a letter or card to your child at school.  We will be collecting this mail and putting it in our surprise box.  On May 20, we will open the box and find out what the surprise is inside.  (It will be all that mail!)

Imagine how surprised and excited your child will be to discover all that mail sent to just them.  Please ask all of your friends and relatives to write to your child and to PRINT the message to your child so that he/she will be able to read the cards independently.

Please address the mail as follows:

Your child’s name
Mrs. Kamphouse’s First Grade
McBain Elementary School

107 East Maple Street

McBain, MI  49657

Start sending mail now and keep it coming in until May 20.  Thank you so much for helping with this surprise!!  (remember, don’t tell!)

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kamphouse
