READING:
DON’T FORGET TO READ!!  I have really noticed amazing improvement in every child’s reading!  They have made awesome growth, especially those that are reading most nights.  Thank you for helping them!!

MATH:
Next week we will have out Unit 5 Math Test!  Thank you also for helping them do their Math link each night.  This really helps their memory of the day’s lesson stick!

Student of the Week:

Our special student this week is Josiah Kruithoff!  Josiah likes Math, computer games, and playing outside.  Some of his favorites include sour punch, steak, Sponge Bob Square Pants, and Peyton Manning.  When Josiah grows up he would like to play soccer and football.  His birthday is May 26th! J

Jump Rope for Heart
Tomorrow morning from 9-10:20 the children will be jumping for heart health!  They will be at Music from 8:15-9:00 so you are welcome to meet us in the big gym at 9:00 if you would like to come and participate with your child!
Please send them TO SCHOOL with shorts underneath some stretch type pants and a Tshirt.  They will also need tennis shoes to wear.  We have Music RIGHT AWAY in the morning so they will not have time to change. Also, a labeled water bottle would be helpful for them, but not necessary.

Valentine Party:
I sent a ClassDojo message about Valentine boxes last week.  If you have  made a Valentine box with your child please send it in tomorrow, otherwise they will have a pocket to hold their cards.

I think we will have either ice cream sandwiches or bars.  Please let me know if you would like to provide 10 of these.  (I have one parent providing 10)

Student of the Week:
Our special student this week is Braydn Winkel.  Braydn turns 7 on Thursday!  Braydn loves actionrunning, playing the Wii, and soccer.  He loves movies and books about dogs.  Braydn has two sweet sisters and he loves pizza! J

We are in need of toilet paper rolls for READING MONTH!  So please start saving them up and sending them in!  We will need 40 total.  I will let you know when we have enough. :)

Also, we have started a CLASS STORE The children will visit the class store every couple of weeks and use their Dojo points to "buy" items from the store.
We are in need of Dollar Store items for our store or gently used toys from home.  Some ideas might be pencils, individually wrapped candy, erasers, small toys, craft items.
Thank you for your donations!

Here is a class list.  Please encourage your child to write the names of their friends on their Valentine cards.  Thank you!

Valentine Party:
I like to have “Board Game Valentine Fun.”  I usually have about 6-10 minute rotations where the children play parent-lead board games and fill their friend’s Valentine bags.  After this we eat an ice cream treat and watch a short Valentine clip.
So far I have one parent volunteer for the day. I will need two or three more.  If you would like to help out please let me know!
Also, to keep it simple, I think we will have either ice cream sandwiches or bars.  Please let me know if you would like to provide 10 of these. (We will need 20 so 2 people providing would be great!)

Student of the Week:
Our special student this week is Mason Grames! Mason is 6 and will be 7 next month on March 12th!  He can climb walls (I love this J), he likes to ride his bike, and he has a motorcycle! Mason’s favorite food is a cheeseburger and he was a cheeseburger for Halloween this year! Mason’s goals are to get better at math and to score a soccer goal.  His favorite book is Charlie the Ranch Dog and movie is McFarlan U.S.A. J

On the back you will find a class list.  Please encourage your child to write the names of their friends on their Valentine cards.  Thank you!
