Super job reading!! We won the field trip! There is a note about the trip in your child’s mail.  There was one last week as well.

PLEASE continue to read each night.  The kids are already saying that they are done reading at night because we won! I told them…NO! We still want to keep reading so that they can leave first grade ready for second grade!! J

This week is a review/assessment week.  Report cards will go home on Thursday in your child’s reading folder.

Remember to record how many minutes your child reads this week and send it in on FRIDAY.  No slips can be turned in late this time because it is the LAST DAY to record minutes!   Right now we are IN THE LEAD for first grade!!  WE WILL WIN THE FIELD TRIP IF WE STAY IN THE LEAD!

YOU MAY CONTINUE TO RECORD THEIR TAKE-HOME BOOKS IN THEIR BOOK FOLDERS FOR A PENNY! J

Please return Math homework the following day.  All sight word homework can be returned on Friday stapled together with your child’s name on it.  They will be rewarded and their spelling test score will show their practice! J  If this is too much for your child, of course, just choose one or two activities/week. If you need more cards for the word rings, write me a note and I will send some more home with your child!

 Each Day:

1.       Place the sight words on the Word Ring.

2.    Read the Take-home book from your book folder & practice the word ring.

3.    Pick one of the Spelling word Home Activities to Complete.
