HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
We are planning our First Grade Halloween Party for the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 31.  The children will start getting their costumes on around 12:20 p.m.  Then, weather permitting; we will join the rest of the elementary in a costume parade down Main Street.  After the parade we will walk through the fourth grade “wax museums.”  We will then return to our classroom for some trail mix and a movie.

RAZ-KIDS:  We have an amazing reading program that we are using here at school on the ipads.  You are welcome to use this at home as well.  It is www.raz-kids.com  You should be able to register under the parent tab.  Then you may find your child’s name.  If you need their password (if they forgot it), just let me know!  Let me know if you have any trouble!  This will be shown to you in my room on Title I Night, this Thursday at 5:30!

CLASS STORE:  The children have begun to earn pretend money in the classroom.  This started today!  They will earn a penny for reading at night and a penny for doing their Math home links.  They will also earn and owe money for good or poor behavior.  They will be earning this money to visit our class store.  This will hopefully be done weekly depending on how many donations we receive.  We would love any used small toys from home that you wish to donate or individually wrapped candy or any dollar store items.  School supplies are always fun too!

HALLOWEEN PARTY:  The party will be in the afternoon on October 31st.  We will be parading on costumes down main street and through the elementary.  Then we will check out the 4th grade wax museum, and finally come back to our classroom for treats and a Halloween video!

STUDENT OF THE WEEK:  Our special student this week is Levi Myers!  Levi loves Science and going on vacation to places that are full of wildlife.  His favorite food is Macaroni and Cheese.  He likes listening to Jason Aldean and watching Transformer movies.  Levi enjoys Science and the book Big Chickens.
