We will NOT be having the weekly spelling test on Friday!  So you DO NOT have to have your child complete the spelling homework for this week!  Hope you are having a wonderful week!
If you haven't already, please sign up to see how your child is doing each day via the Class Dojo app available for apple or android devices.  :)  (A note went home yesterday with directions on how to do this!)

Mrs. Kamphouse’s Class            Week of: September 21st

**I apologize but at times I may leave some news in my letters for a few weeks just in case people may have missed it the first time!**

MY BLOC:
For the past couple of weeks our tech person and I have been trying to get my blog to cooperate!  It was not allowing parents to follow me by email.  This means that you would receive the weekly newsletter by email and any other updates as soon as I post them to my blog.  GOOD NEWSWE GOT IT FIXED!  I will be working on inputting everyone’s email addresses so that you will receive digital updates.
If you would NOT like digital updates from me please let me know and I will remove your email address from the list! Thanks!

BEHAVIOR CALENDARS:
You have probably all seen the calendars in your child’s binder.  Thank you for leaving them in there!  They may go in the back to school folder if the holes have ripped.

Please show that you are happy for your child when they are on green, blue, purple or pink.  These are all good colors for the day, especially the top 3 colors.  With 26 children I can’t always catch every good thing in every child.  I will do my best because I know how much it means to all of them to be rewarded!

ALL ABOUT ME POSTERS:
The posters may be sent in at any time.  The sooner the better so that you don’t forget about them, but there is no rush!

STUDENT OF THE WEEK:
Our special student this week is Julian Castro!  We will celebrate Julian’s birthday tomorrow!  He will turn 7! Julian is already an uncle!  He has 3 sisters and 1 brother. He loves cars; especially fast ones!  And his favorite foods are pizza and spaghetti!

SPELLING WORDS:

I wanted you to know that beginning on next week's spelling test I will NOT be counting words wrong for letter reversals!  This week I did and I decided that I would not be doing this from now on. J

MATH HOMEWORK:
This week you will see Math homework in your child’s mail.  It is usually just a couple of quick questions that went with the day’s Math lesson.  I will be keeping track of finished homework, so if you would, please send it back to school when your child has completed it.

Since the beginning of the school year I have been trying, along with our tech person, to figure out how parents could follow me by email!  Today we have figured out the problem and it should be working!  If you are receiving the updates at a strange time please let me know so that I can make a change.  Have a great weekend! :)

Parents -
Picture Day at McBain Elementary is as follows:
  *Kindergarten-1st-2nd grades = Tuesday morning, September 15th
  *3rd-4th-5th grades = Wednesday morning, September 16th

If your child happens to be absent on their scheduled day, we will get it done another day that week, as the photographers will be at our school Thursday and Friday as well, getting to the Jr/Sr High students. Even if no package is ordered, each student will still be photographed because we use these photos for the library ID cards as well as the yearbook.  If you choose to order a package later on, you may do so by contacting Judy Gilde Photography.

Picture forms/envelopes will be sent home w/students this week (some may already have received them).

Let me know if you have any questions!
