Mrs. Kamphouse’s Class            Week of: June 8th

TOMORROW Tuesday, September 15th:
Class picture day!  Forms were sent home last week.  If you did have get a form call or come into the office ASAP!  You do not have to order pictures for your child.  They will have their picture taken either way for the yearbook.

BEHAVIOR CALENDARS:
You have probably all seen the calendars in your child’s binder.  Thank you for leaving them in there!  They may go in the back to school folder if the holes have ripped.

Please show that you are happy for your child when they are on green, blue, purple or pink.  These are all good colors for the day, especially the top 3 colors.  With 25 children I can’t always catch every good thing in every child.  I will do my best because I know how much it means to all of them to be rewarded!

They have all been just WONDERFUL!  I am so happy to be their teacher!

ALL ABOUT ME POSTERS:
The posters may be sent in at any time.  The sooner the better; just so that you don’t forget about them, but there is no rush!

STUDENT OF THE WEEK:
Our special student this week is Kayden Hinton!  We celebrated Kayden’s birthday today!  She turned 7! Kayden loves to ride horse, shoot bow, and swim in her pool!  Her favorite book is called Palace Pets and she likes carrots, apples, cheese and pizza! Kayden is looking forward to making new friends in first grade and learning new things!

SPELLING WORDS:
You will see there are spelling words in your child’s mail.  These can be practiced at home during the week.  Your child will take the weekly spelling test every Friday.  I will be sending home practice ideas for you.

MATH HOMEWORK:

At times you will see Math homework in your child’s mail.  It is usually just a couple of quick questions that went with the day’s Math lesson.  I will be keeping track of finished homework, so if you would, please send it back to school when your child has completed it.
