       Monday, January 19^th: Delayed Start- School begins at 10:00

Thursday, February 12^th: Valentine Fun and Parent/Teacher Conferences from 4-7 pm.

Friday, February 13^th: NO SCHOOL- Professional Development

Monday, February 16^th: NO SCHOOL- President’s Day

Student of the Week: Our special student this week is Monserrat Marin-Ramirez.  Monse (her nickname) came to us in September from Mexico.  She did not know any English when she came.  She is very intelligent and has caught on quickly to our sometimes-difficult language.  J  Monse has one sister and one brother in 2^nd and 3^rd grades.  She would like to be a doctor when she grows up.  Some of her favorite things are mice, the color purple, spaghetti, football, and her mom!

It is report card time again!  This week and next will be spent testing for report cards and for our mid-year benchmark scores.
