Mrs. Kamphouse’s Class Week of: October 5th
READING FOLDERS:
Reading
folders went home yesterday! Please
keep the October calendar in the front pocket so that I may easily slide it out
and stamp each date that your child has read to you. Please initial each date that your child
reads their book at home. I know it says
to color it in, but I would prefer it if you would initial the date. Thank you!
They will earn a DOJO point for each date read. I cannot count it unless your child sends it
in signed within a couple of days from the date read.
**If your child has read 4 days a week for the
entire month they will receive a BOOK IT Pizza Hut certificate at the end of
the month!**
CLASS DOJO POINTS:
Last
week I sent home some CLASS DOJO slips.
If you did not get one please let me know and I will send another one
home. This is a classroom website/app
that keeps track of points your child earns.
They will use the points to “buy” coupons as rewards. J
GEERS PUMPKIN PATCH:
October
22nd is our Geers Pumpkin Patch field trip. We will be going there from 9:00-11:00 that
morning. There is a note in your child’s
mail TODAY. Please sign and return the
note with $4.00 and your name if you are choosing to chaperone the field
trip. If you choose to chaperone you
will have other children in your group on the field trip…just
FYI. J
HALLOWEEN FUN:
Look
for a note about Halloween fun next week.
It will take place on the 30th. More info to come…I
didn’t want to overwhelm you with important notes!
LIBRARY BOOKS:
Our
next library date is Monday, the 12th. Please have your child’s library book back by
then so that they may exchange it for a new one.
STUDENT OF THE WEEK:
Our
special student this week is Carlee McGhee!
Carlee turned 7 last week on the 2nd! She likes to cook and she has 3 sisters and 1
brother! Carlee’s favorite foods are
tacos, watermelon, ice cream, and Cheetos.
Her favorite book is Charlotte’s Web and movie is Annie. When Carlee grows up she’d like to be a mom
and a police officer!
SPELLING WORDS:
I was asked what the
HF words are. This stands for High
Frequency Words. It’s just another name
for sight words.
