Mrs. Kamphouse’s Class Week of:  December 12, 2016

January 16: Delayed Start
January 19 & 20: ½ Days (high school exams)

Welcome back everyone!  I hope that everyone had a blessed Christmas and time with loved ones.

A lot of kiddos are forgetting some of their warm winter clothesespecially gloves! Please try to check and make sure they have these before they come to school in the morning.  I always have them check the lost and found tub when they misplace their belongings.

SPELLING: After meeting with our grade level team, I will not be giving the “Spelling Homework” sheet anymore.  We have decided to send home the words your child is working on for the week, and you may practice them however you wish! J If they are getting the spelling words easily they are welcome to practice spelling the sight words and vocabulary word definitions.  Thank you!!

READING: Today your child will have a new January calendar.  Please initial each day that your child reads.  They were all tested on their reading level in December, so most of them should have some new books to take home at night.

MATH:  We will be starting Unit 5 this week!  Look for their Unit 4 test in their mail this week.

STUDENT OF THE WEEK:  Our special student this week is Isabelle Austin!  She turned 7 on December 2nd!  Isabelle loves dance, playing with her Barbies, and going camping with her family!  Her favorite foods are pizza, salad, and tacos.  Her favorite movie is Barbie and the Pink Shoes, and her favorite book is The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.  Isabelle would like to learn how to swim, and she would love to go to Disney World.  J
